There's too much fun this weekend!
Friday, November 04, 2011 09:47

We are chockablock with fun this weekend, so there's no excuse for sitting around at home (unless it's for a bit of football action on Sunday...).

Here are some suggestions. Mix and match, Garanimals style. Click on the links for details of each activity, and then get Out There!

Go ski or snowboardKeystone and Copper Mountain open today!  Arapahoe Basin (top to bottom open), Loveland (Chair 6 now open) and Wolf Creek already are open (Wolf Creek opens for daily use Saturday). (Click here to see when all of Colorado's ski areas will open.)

Help build an access trail at the base of the Manitou Incline.  A bit of physical labor will help preserve the area from too much off-trail use and may aid the process of legalizing use of the popular trail.

Check out deals and get stoked for the snow season at the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Expo at the Denver Convention Center.

Help build trails at our much beloved and much used Garden of the Gods park.  You'll feel great for lending a hand and the park with silently thank you for your efforts.

See the latest Warren Miller film, "Like There's No Tomorrow" tonight or Saturday at the Pikes Peak Center.

Prepare to race the Pixie Repack on Sunday.  At the very least, take a camera and share your photos!

Get inspired by one of the flicks at the Adventure Film Fest in Boulder.

Join the fun at the Fall Back Cyclocross race on Sunday, produced by USA Cycling in Colorado Springs.

Celebrate one of our local treasures at the Canya Canon 6K run and hike in Cheyenne Canyon on Saturday.

Meet the U.S. Ski Team, including Bode Miller, Lindsey Vonn and Ted Ligety!
