I don't know how much snow you got near your house, but if you're looking for enough white stuff to snowshoe, cross-country ski or sled, you can find it somewhere in the Pikes Peak region.

Monument Valley (end of Fontanero Street at Boddington Field)

Take exit 161 off I-25, drive east on State Highway 105 to Fairplay Drive

Manitou Springs
Behind the Iron Springs Chateau (Ruxton Avenue)
Library hill - good for younger kids - just make sure you don't get going so fast you fly off onto Manitou Avenue!
