Day lift ticket and season pass p[rices for Howelsen Hill in Steamboat Springs are up this season, the city announced Monday.

Check out these awesome photos from a December 2010 Out There story about Howelsen Hill and its role as a training ground for Olympians.

Read the story here.

And Howelsen's operating hours will be a bit shorter in the 2011-12 season.

The changes won't affect visitors as much as locals, but it's good info to know for trip-planning purposes.

Daily lift tickets will cost $8 to $20.  See details here.

All-access passes bought by Dec. 31 are $75 for ages 60 and older (from $35); $170 for adults (from $160); $75 for ages 7 to 18 (from $65); $35 for ages 6 and younger (from $25); $370 for families (from $350); and $95 for full-time college students (from $75).

Adult nordic rates increased to $110 from $80 for adults and to $250 from $160 for families.

The new lift hours are: 1-6 p.m. Tuesday; 1-8 p.m. Wednesday; 3:45-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

If snow gods cooperate, Howelsen will open Dec. 3.
