Ski areas, mountain bikers unite |

As President Obama mulls the Congress-approved Ski Area Recreational Opportunity Act, the National Ski Areas Association has partnered with the International Mountain Bicycling Association.
The agreement aims to bolster summer mountain biking at ski areas by enlisting Boulder’s IMBA in mountain biking trail development on ski hills.
IMBA, beyond consultation on trail design, signage and risk management, will help NSAA’s 325 resorts market summertime mountain biking through its Destinations program, a web-based travel resource for knobby-tired travelers. Many ski areas – like Arapahoe Basin, Vail and Winter Park – have worked with IMBA in designing mountain bike programs on the hill.
