$4 million in grants available for trails projects |

Need money for an off-road trails project?
Applications for the 2012-13 Off-Highway Vehicle State Trails Grants are available.
$4 million in grants are available for projects related to the use of OHVs on lands open to the public. OHVs include trail motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and four-wheel drive vehicles.
The grant application deadline is Dec. 1. Applications are available online at http://www.parks.state.co.us/OHVsandSnowmobiles/Pages/OHVsSnowmobiles.aspx
The grant funds are generated by OHV registration fees through the Colorado Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Fund. OHV projects are also eligible for funding through the Federal Recreational Trails Program (RTP). Last year, $4.2 million in grants were awarded to 50 projects statewide.
