Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for information about a dead buck deer found near the Turkey Rock subdivision in Teller County. Hunters discovered the partially hidden carcass of the deer off Forest Service Trail 717 in game management unit 511. "Due to the condition of the carcass, it's likely that the deer was killed during the first rifle season," said District Wildlife Manager Tonya Sharp. "First rifle season is an elk only season in Colorado so we would like to hear from anyone who might know what happened." Individuals with information can call Sharp at 719-227-5281. Callers who wish to remain anonymous can call Operation Game Thief toll-free at 1-877-265-6648. Tips can also be submitted via email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
