Man dies in climbing accident near Cotopaxi |

A 35-year-old Pueblo West man fell 80 feet to his death about 3:30 p.m. Sunday while rock climbing in western Fremont County.
The man, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was an inexperienced rock climber, according to Capt. Don Pinover of the Fremont County Sheriff's Department.
He was climbing with a friend who was an experienced climber, in a popular climbing area just off U.S. 50 west of Cotopaxi.
Investigators said it appeared the victim did not have his rigging attached properly when he fell.
