Van Garderen joins Cadel Evans, BMC Racing

The BMC Racing Team made official Thursday the signings of Tejay Van Garderen and Marco Pinotti, both from HTC-Highroad, Brian Holcombe writes at VeloNews.
Van Garderen, most recently the best young rider at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, will join Tour de France champion Cadel Evans, who team president Jim Ochowicz said would act as a mentor to the young American GC hopeful.
“Tejay is a gifted young talent with a complete set of skills that will allow him to one day be a contender in the grand tours,” said Ochowicz. “His time trialing continues to improve, as is his climbing. With Cadel acting as his mentor, the road to success should come quickly.”
