Tents pitched in line as Sniagrab sale approaches at Sports Authority

Only two of the more than 20 tents pitched in front of the Sports Authority Denver Sportscastle were occupied this morning, leaving empty shells to mark places in line for this weekend's Sniagrab sale.

The first tents appeared on the corner of Broadway and 10th Avenue as early as Friday, in anticipation for the 57th annual ski and snowboard sale.

The line of tents now stretches east up 10th Avenue, before continuing north along Lincoln Street.

But there were few people in line, just the empty tents, weighted down with rocks and sleeping pads.

The first tent had a sign pinned on the front reading "Back at 5 p.m."
