Boulder's Phinney will race in Vuelta a Espana

Boulder High School graduate Taylor Phinney will compete in the upcoming Vuelta a Espana for his first Grand Tour Event in cycling.
Phinney, son of famed American cyclist Davis Phinney, will compete in a three-week stage race from Aug. 20 to Sept. 11.
The race runs throughout Spain and is made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 2,500 miles.
