Team Evergreen Bicycle Club’s Triple Bypass and inaugural Double Triple Bypass on July 9-10 will provide significant charitable contributions to non-profits throughout Colorado and heart-pumping thrills to cyclists. Each non-profit that Team Evergreen supports makes a difference in its community by building good will, benefiting youth, providing education and nurturing talents of people with disabilities.
The Triple Bypass began in 1988 and, after 23 years, Team Evergreen has introduced the Double Triple Bypass.

“The demand for the traditional Triple Bypass ride continues to grow as it provides cyclists with an unparalleled challenge,” said Jenny Anderson, co-ride director of the Triple Bypass. “With the addition of the second-day ride, it gives Team Evergreen Bicycle Club the opportunity to provide more riders the ability to participate and in turn positively impacts communities along the route.
Riders from across the country will attempt 120 to 240 miles over three of Colorado’s highest paved passes: Squaw (11,140 feet), Loveland (11,990 feet) and Vail (10,560 feet). Riders will begin in Evergreen heading west to Avon on Saturday and return east Sunday. Not only does this ride offer awe-inspiring views of the Rockies and the Continental Divide, but it gives back to charities and communities along the route.
Jill Brashear, Triple Bypass ride SAG captain and volunteer for the Friendship Bridge says, “The Triple Bypass not only contributes to helping our organization with the mission to provide microcredit and education to Guatemalan women but for the past eight years we truly look forward to supporting riders as they accomplish this feat.”
To date, the Triple Bypass has allowed Team Evergreen Bicycle Club to award more than $700,000 to non-profits.
Riders still can register for the Sunday ride from Avon to Evergreen. Go to triplebypass.org for more information.
