Victim identified in Red Rocks fall

MORRISON, Colo. (AP) — The Jefferson County coroner has identified a 20-year-old woman who fell to her death at Red Rocks Park as Christina Leisha Tongen from Highlands Ranch.

The coroner says Tongen died after she fell approximately 100 feet from one of the rock formations just south of the world famous amphitheater on Friday.

Climbing on the Red Rocks is prohibited and is punishable by a $999 fine, 180 days in jail, or both, according to signs posted throughout the park.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office told KDVR-TV friends who were climbing with her will not be cited.
