Vail Mountain saw a record number of skiers and riders in the 2010-11.
Vail had 1.75 million skier visits for the season, up 9.2 percent, or 150,000, from the previous year, reported parent company Vail Resorts.
Colorado Ski Country USA, an umbrella group representing most other Colorado ski areas, on Wednesday reported a banner year for the season.
Vail Resorts saw a profit of $76.9 million during the third quarter (February-April), up 5.6 percent from last year, CEO Rob Katz said.
And the number of Vail pass sales for 2011-12 is up 19 percent.
Vail Resorts owns Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Heavenly and Northstar-at-Tahoe.
Colorado Ski Country USA said Wednesday that skier visits at its 22 member resorts were up 2.6 percent from last season, reaching an estimated 6.9 million.
If this makes you want to ski, you can still make turns at Arapahoe Basin, which is open Friday to Sunday and again June 17-19. It's possible A-Basin will even stay open through July 4.
