Aspen Mountain is open AGAIN this weekend!

It appears that everyone had such a sweet time last weekend Aspen Mountain is opening again for skiing and riding under bluebird skies.

(The photos above and below - and these pix on Facebook - are from Memorial Day weekend!)

The mountain will be open Saturday and Sunday with a base of about 54 inches, and 25 runs (mostly intermediate) off the Ajax Express chairlift.

And you could ski additional weekends if the snow remains!

Aspen Powder Tours will offer tours of powder and corn skiing on the back of the mountain.

Skiing and riding is set for 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We haven’t had summer conditions this good since 2008,” said Rich Burkley, vice president mountain operations.  “We figure that if we open for skiing maybe it will quit snowing.  We encourage everyone to go up and make a few turns then jump on your bike, hit the trails or swing the golf club.”
