Arapahoe Basin reports 8 inches of snow in past 24 hours

altIt's May 19, and the skiing and snowboarding is still great at Arapahoe Basin.

The Summit County ski area received 8 inches of snow in the past 24 hours. Despite the fact that Memorial Day is just around the corner, A-Basin has 74 trails open -- beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain -- and is boasting a 96-inch base.

With all the snow that has been falling in the high country, the ski area will remain open seven days a week through June 5 and will reopen for summer skiing for at least two three-day weekends – June 10-12 and June 17-19.

A-Basin will feature a free rail jam and live entertainment at 1-4 p.m. Saturday. The Hazel Miller Band will play a concert in the base area.  More information
