Tour of Colorado to kick off Sunday in Superior

The May 1 Koppenberg in Superior, featuring its infamous 17-percent climb, will again be the first race in the Tour of Colorado! With a hillside Expo and an announcer giving prizes to the rowdiest spectators, this Colorado spring classic will deliver the state's finest spring racing!

Superior also will host the second of the Tour of Colorado's eight races with the Superior Morgul Classic weekend, May 28 & 29. Racing returns to the very famous Morgul Bismark course on May 29 following a criterium the previous day.
The Tour of Colorado, now in its fourth year, is a series of the very best of Colorado's road races and will visit Superior, Boulder, Carbondale, Idaho Springs with the Mt. Evans-Bob Cook Memorial Hill Climb, Salida, the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs for the Colorado Senior Road Race Championships and concluding in Fort Collins for the very popular Fort Collins Cycling Festival, Aug. 19-21.
Featuring an Echelon Grand Fondo event, the Fort Collins Cycling Festival's Grand Fondo events are UCI World Amateur Qualification events.
