Purgatory reopens for one more weekend of skiing

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Durango Mountain Resort says it has enough snow to reopen Purgatory for skiing for one more weekend.

Purgatory stopped offering daily skiing April 3, but it is open Friday through Sunday this weekend.

The season is already over for Telluride, Crested Butte and a few other Colorado resorts, but some are still open. A few plan to stay open through Easter weekend. Arapahoe Basin is known for trying to keep its season going past Memorial Day.
