Yeah, we know it's spring and the pull of Colorado's hiking and biking trails is strong, but, come on, folks, there's still plenty of snow in the high country - and more on the way.
What if next season is weak? You'll kick yourself for wasting the fresh pow!
So get out there and enjoy the inches of fluffiness while you can. You'll love the exercise, the views, the activity with friends and family. And there are plenty of apres ski activities to enjoy at the end of the day.
Just look at the fun our ski resorts have planned:
A-BASIN: Take advantage of recent snow and coming sunhine with the Spring 3-Pass ($138). Check out free concerts and the 22nd annual Enduro race Wednesday.
ASPEN: Go Fridays and ride a few extra hours or take a long lunch and still get plenty of time on the mountain. "Late Arrival" tickets (from 2:30 p.m.) cost $44. Lifts run 'til 5 p.m.
BEAVER CREEK: The Vintage Ski Fest and Jimmie Heuga Vintage Ski Race are April 16. Go for the snow, stay for the funky fashions. Closing day is April 17.
BRECK: Spring Fever continues through April 17, with concerts at the base of Peak 8 Saturdays and Sundays. The Wailers play 3-5 p.m. Saturday and Ozomatli 3-5 p.m. Sunday. Saturday is also the Spring Beer Festival. Ski mountaineering races are Saturday (5 Peaks, the longest in the U.S.) and April 16 (Imperial Challenge). Closing day is April 24.
Note: Breck tweeted Friday the beer fest is nearly sold out. (That's Breckenridge in the photo, above, by Christian Murdock, The Gazette.)
COPPER MOUNTAIN: Sunsation features live music. The Red Bull 1976 Games are April 16-17. Join a world-record attempt for applying sunscreen April 23. Join an Easter celebration April 24.
ECHO MOUNTAIN: Enjoy $5 Friday night lift tickets through Friday. Last Park Standing is April 30.
ELDORA: This is closing weekend, but that's still 2 days of sunshine and snow on tap. And live music, barbecues and tailgating with other snow-loving friends, old and new!
KEYSTONE: Robert Earl Keen plays a free concert Saturday. Closing day is Sunday and includes the inaugural Slush Cup pond skimming-style championships. See details in this Summit Daily News story.
LOVELAND: The Loveland Poker Run is Saturday. The Corn Harvest Benefit Ski Party is April 30.
MONARCH: Head to the Springs' fav mountain Sunday for the Parking Lot Cook-Off and Tailgate Party.
STEAMBOAT: Free concerts mark closing weekend: Los Lonely Boys on Saturday and The Wailers on Sunday.
SILVERTON: Unguided skiing returns on weekends through April 17. Here's what on tap Sunday: the BrewSKI, at 1:30 p.m. It features local brews and prizes from The North Face, K2, BCA, Dakine, Venture, PBR and Smith.
VAIL: Spring Back to Vail features concerts by Train, Greyboy Allstars, Stephen Marley and Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars, beginning April 15. World Pond Skimming Championships are April 24, closing day.
WINTER PARK: Spring Blast features live music April 16-17 and April 23-24. The Coca-Cola Spring Splash pond skimming is closing day.
