Aspen teen takes bronze at Winter X Games Europe

TIGNES, France — Different continent. Only a slightly different result.

After stunning the freestyle world with a silver medal at Winter X Games at Buttermilk Mountain this year, Aspen teenager Torin Yater-Wallace finished third Wednesday in the men's ski superpipe final at X Games Europe.

Torin, 15, was the top American finisher at the event in Tignes, France, behind Canadian Justin Dorey and winner Kevin Rolland, who also won the X Games in Aspen.

Duncan Adams of Breckenridge came in 6th.

In other events:

Keri Herman of Breckenridge won silver women's skiing slopestyle.  Kaya Turski won gold and Kim Lamarre took bronze.

Gus Kenworthy of Telluride won silver in men's skiing slopestyle.  JF Houle won gold and James Woods took bronze.

Bobby Brown of Breckenridge came in 7th.
