With spring on the way, Summit County is expected to see some of the warmest temperatures of the year so far, with highs in the high 40s and low to mid-50s throughout the weekend, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service.

The warm spell kicked off Thursday with blue skies, sunshine and highs in the low 50s in Summit County, and the balmy weather is expected to keep up through the weekend.

There is a 10 percent chance of snow after 11 a.m. Saturday, and winds between 6 and 17 miles per hour with gusts as high as 25 miles per hour are expected.

Temperatures Sunday could dip a bit, with a possible high of about 47 and a slight chance of snow, but forecasters say Monday could be another bluebird day with a high of about 50.
