New ski bus offers trips to Breckenridge, Keystone

FRISCO — For the next several Saturdays, there's another option for getting from the Denver area to the Breckenridge and Keystone ski areas.

The privately run Ski Bus Colorado is offering trips from Lakewood, Aurora and Littleton to Breckenridge or Keystone for $39. It's being promoted by the I-70 Coalition, which is a group of cities, counties and ski resort companies trying to reduce traffic jams on Interstate 70.

The coalition also has a partnership with the nonprofit SkiCarpool.com.

The Summit Daily News reports Ski Bus Colorado has begun conversations about possibly expanding service to Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain.

Other companies also offer rides to resorts, and the University of Colorado at Boulder has a ski bus for students, faculty and staff.
