Eldora owners hope to replace lifts, expand terrain

NEDERLAND (AP) — Eldora Mountain Resort says the U.S. Forest Service has accepted its new master plan, which outlines plans to eventually replace some ski lifts and add others.

The Forest Service would still have to approve the implementation of projects within the master plan and conduct an environmental analysis before work could proceed.

(By the way, TODAY is the final day of the Ski FREE at Eldora campaign.)

Besides updating the resort's lift network, the long-term plan discusses expanding the resort's restaurant and skier services center at the base, and adding another snowmaking reservoir and more intermediate and advanced terrain at the ski area west of Boulder.

Eldora spent more than two years crafting the updated plan.
