Want to prove you've got what it takes to win gold?
Head to Steamboat Springs for the weekend and pit your cross-country skiing skills against 2010 Olympic Nordic Combined silver medalist Todd Lodwick on Sunday.
Lodwick told the Steamboat Pilot he'd give his competitors a generous head start in a 3-kilometer race on the new Lodwick’s Loop Trail at The Home Ranch in Clark.
The race will raise money for the Steamboat Springs Nordic Council, which aims to buy grooming equipment.
This will be a fun race and Valentine's Day-themed costumes are encouraged, organizer Dan Smilkstein told the Pilot.
Raffle tickets will be sold for prizes including a two-day vacation at The Home Ranch, a carbon fiber bike frame and Madshus skis. There will be prizes for top finishers in all divisions.
