Steamboat tops 300 inches of snow!

Colorado ski areas are adding superlatives to this year's snowfall.  And how can you blame them?  300 inches halfway through the season!?!?

A notice from Steamboat begins:

Steamboat’s 2010/2011 season cumulative snowfall nosed past the 300-inch mark at mid-mountain this morning due to a storm that has blanketed the resort with 14 inches of fresh Champagne Powder® snow overnight.

Yeah, "champagne powder" is trademarked!

Here's the rest of the news release, which compares this season to others and gives a hint at snow to come for Steamboat Springs.
