The 35-year-old Boulder man who was killed while snowboarding Sunday afternoon in a closed area at Eldora Mountain Resort has been identified as Scott Richard Goodale, according to the Boulder County Coroner’s Office.    The Coroner’s Office performed an autopsy Monday, but the cause and manner of death remain under investigation.

Boulder County sheriff’s Sgt. Jason Oehlkers said Goodale, who was snowboarding with friends, hit a tree and was pronounced dead at the scene. Eldora’s ski patrol responded to a call for help about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.
