Search resumes for snowboarder missing on Berthoud Pass

WINTER PARK — Search and rescue teams have resumed the search for a snowboarder missing on Berthoud Pass.
The Grand County sheriff’s office says 26-year-old Jeffrey Miller of the Winter Park area went missing Monday when snowboarding with a friend.
The friend said he saw Miller and Miller’s dog behind him after a small snow slide nearby, but didn’t see them a little later. He said he went down the drainage two more times, but couldn’t find Miller.
The area got more fresh snow on Wednesday and the avalanche danger is still high.
