You've probably heard about the myriad "lost" ski areas that dot Colorado.
Now, you can capture a piece of that history in a “Colorado’s Lost Resorts” poster (2nd edition) available through Colorado Ski Country USA.
The poster shows 169 Colorado ski areas on a map - lost and operating.
Some of the ski areas are little more than a hill with a tow rope.
Here's a story by Dave Philipps on "lost" areas that you can still ski.
Here's a story about people who want to re-open the Cuchara ski area.
Ski-history trivia adorns the poster’s border and is sure to delight ski industry-history buffs.
Did you know?: The price of a season pass to Climax in 1936 was $10!
A limited number of the 2-foot-by-3-foot posters are available for $19.99 each, plus shipping and handling.
