Pass offers two days at Winter Park, two days at Steamboat for $199

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS -- Taking the road less traveled definitely has it privileges, as Winter Park and Steamboat launch a new 4by40 Pass offering two days at each resort throughout the 2010/2011 season.

"Skiers and riders are always looking for great value when it comes to enjoying the slopes and the new 4by40 pass is the perfect way to enjoy two of Colorado's best resorts located off the beaten path along scenic US Highway 40," said Rob Perlman, senior vice president of sales & marketing for Winter Park Resort and Steamboat. "If you have been waiting for the snow, it's here and so is an affordable way to savor these two genuine Colorado resorts."
Currently on sale, the 4by40, a photo pass, offers fantastic value for skiing and riding with two days at Steamboat and two days at Winter Park for only $199. Passes must be purchased by Dec. 31 and include a blackout period of Dec. 27-31, 2010.
Limited quantities of the $199 4by40 Pass will be available while supplies last. Passes may only be purchased online at www.4by40.com and must be purchased 48 hours in advance of the first day of use. Powderhounds may upload a photo online and redeem their pass at either resort as well as the Denver West Christy Sports store. Passes are nontransferable and cannot be combined with other offers.

Currently, Steamboat, which enjoyed its snowiest November on record, is reporting a 40-inch mid-mountain base and 55-inch summit base with 90 percent of the mountain open for skiing and riding. Winter Park is reporting a 36-inch mid-mountain base and 41-inch summit base with 70 percent open, including the jaw-dropping terrain in Parsenn Bowl.

In addition, a special lodging opportunity is being featured that ensures you'll be rested and ready to tackle the slopes with your 4by40 Pass. The 4by40 Lodging Pass is an advanced purchase accommodations option that includes one night in a studio unit at the Fraser Crossing & Founders Pointe and one night at the Steamboat Grand for $249. This Lodging Pass must be purchased at the same time as the 4by40 Pass. Reservations required and additional restrictions apply; see www.4by40.com for complete details and requirements.
