A memorial fund has been established in honor of Scott Kay, the ski patrol director who died Monday in an avalanche at Wolf Creek Ski Area.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 4 at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, 225 S. Pagosa Blvd. in Pagosa Springs.
Kay, 41, died while skiing a routine avalanche-control route at the ski area.
He is a husband, father and former Marine. The longtime Pagosa resident worked at the ski area about 16 years.
The memorial fund is listed as Chantelle Kay, Memorial for Scott Kay, at Bank of the San Juans branches in Archuleta and La Plata counties.
