Breckenridge, which has received a bit of snow, as you can see from the camera above, will be the latest ski area to open when the lifts fire up Friday.

They’ll open with 147 acres of lift-served terrain via the Colorado SuperChair, 5 Chair, Rip’s Ride, Trygve’s Platter and one conveyer lift. For those heading up, at noon there will be a ribbon-cutting on the new Gold Runner Coaster at the base of Peak 8. It’s a roller coaster ride that whisks you 2,500 feet around the mountain. It costs $15 per ride.
Loveland, A Basin, Wolf Creek, Copper Mountain and Keystone are already open and reporting 1 to 4 inches of new snow this morning.
