Magnets stick kids to chairlifts

This is worth a trip to France: a chairlift that's designed to keep kids from slipping out to their doom by sticking them to the chair via a large magnet.
The kids wear vests with magnets in the back, which are attracted to magnets in the back of the chairlift. The magnets in the lifts are deactivated, chair by chair, as they get to the top of the slope.

Apparently, Alpine Meadows in California has the system. But I'd go to France!
