Snow-making begins ... finally

The mountains got a dose of snow over the past couple days, the mercury finally dropped to normal fall temperatures and it looks like the race is now on between Arapahoe Basin and Loveland ski areas to be the first to open.

Both ski areas started making snow in the past few days, much later than usual. Last season, Loveland opened Oct. 7.
