Here’s your chance to meet the Colorado Springs man on a cross-country bicycling mission to raise money for diabetes research - and ride along.
Ryan Rosenhahn, 24, started Connect for the CURE in honor of his diabetic girlfriend, Laura Kurica, 22. He and fellow riders Matt Kaiser and Christian Gagne left California on June 6 and plan to end in New York on July 28.
There will be a pig roast and from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the ProCycling Roundhouse parking lot, 600 South 21st Street. The group departs from the parking lot at 9 a.m. Sunday for Denver. Riders can join the journey to Denver for a donation to the American Diabetes Association.
Rosenhahn hopes to raise $100,000.
It is part of a national Tour de Cure event for diabetes.
