The U.S. Forest Service released the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed Breckenridge Peak 6 project on Friday. The process has lasted 2 years so far as forest service officials and resort owners have batted around their wants and needs. The Draft EIS includes an option of keeping the status quo, and there are 2 other plans. Alternative 2 is the forest service's preferred move. You can see the entire document here. The Draft EIS can be reviewed and downloaded at the Peak 6 Project Website. There's a comment form directly on the website. The Draft EIS is available for a 45-day public review and comment period.
