Antero Hot Springs Cabins

Three private cabins with their own hot spring pools lie along Chalk Creek in Nathrop, central Colorado. Surrounded by the Collegiate Peaks of the Sawatch mountain range, two refurbished, early-1900s cabins and a remodeled split-level home are available for rent year-round. Each sunken, outdoor, private pool is made of hand-formed concrete with molded underwater seating, and the 120-degree source water is cooled by adding water from an in-pool valve fed by an onsite cold well. The cabins are named Cottonwood Cabin, Hortense Cabin, and Chalk Cliffs Chalet, and each one has indoor plumbing, a fully equipped kitchen, and accommodates four to ten people, depending on the cabin. Antero Hot Spring Cabins book early and fast so plan ahead and reserve a night, a weekend, or a whole week well in advance.

Pro Tips

  • The cabins are located a quarter of a mile west of Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort, so you can stay in a private cabin and walk to the larger commercial site for more soaking, swimming, a full spa, restaurant, convenience store, and bar.
  • The management at Antero Hot Spring Cabins can also arrange for private spa and massage services in your cabin.
  • Antero Hot Spring Cabins does not allow smoking or pets. Alcohol is allowed but keep glass bottles away from the pools to avoid accidents, and for your health and safety, don’t soak after drinking alcoholic beverages.
  • Book a kayak or white water rafting trip on the nearby Arkansas River and be sure to visit nearby St. Elmo, a preserved ghost town located a short drive west of the cabins.

Recommended season(s): Year-round.
