Hey all I just wanted to share with you a very quick glance of a time lapse video I shot of Pikes Peak from Garden Of The Gods! You will see parts of these clips and much more time lapse soon to come in fishing videos/shows. Hiked Mt. Herman on Wednesday and got to watch the Thunderbird performance over the USAFA. It was really unusual to see the jets flying below us.

Fire Restrictions : Stage 1

It is only April 23rd and we already find ourselves in fire restrictions. Locally, El Paso County and Teller County have been in fire restrictions for a couple weeks. I believe Douglas County , Jefferson County, and Larimer County are also. The BLM went into fire restrictions last week, and the US Forest Service put Stage 1 Fire Restrictions in place on the Pike National Forest on April 21st.
Stage 1 Fire restrictions are pretty camper friendly. While it does restrict having an open campfire or charcoal grills, etc. It does allow for the the use of camp stoves that have a control know for fuel such as propane.
Our long term weather outlook doesn't look much better for precipitation. I think of the old posters that said something to the effect of " If you don't like camping without a campfire, imagine camping without a forest..."
