To get there
Take I-25 south to Walsenburg. Drive 11 miles west on U.S. Highway 160 to the junction with Colorado Highway 12. Bear left and drive 20 miles south. Turn right onto County Road 422 and drive 5.1 miles to camping and parking near the lake.
When you take a trip to the high country, update us with the current conditions. How are the trails? How are the crowds? We want to hear from you because you’re in the middle of the action and we’re stuck in the office!
