Free activities from afternoon till evening may keep you overnight at this weekend's Birds of Prey races at Beaver Creek.
Saturday's events include:
Races The Associated Press wrote Wednesday afternoon that "The age-defying Didier Cuche of Switzerland turned in the fastest time in a downhill training run on a demanding Birds of Prey course." Cuche, 37, finished his run Wednesday in 1 minute, 45.54 seconds, which was 0.10 seconds ahead of Christof Innerhofer of Italy. Miller was fourth. Tuesday's training was scrubbed in part because Miller, who's serving as the athletes' representative, raised concerns over safety. Officials shaved a portion of the hill to help control speed. Training was briefly delayed Wednesday for more work on the course. |
