University of Colorado Boulder police arrested multiple suspects on Sunday morning after shots were fired outside a large party at Weber Hall apartments.

There are no reported fatalities or injuries, a CU Boulder police spokesperson told The Denver Gazette.

At 3 a.m., CU campus police responded to a noise complaint in the area of Williams Village. They arrived inside the college student apartment complex to break up a large party, CU Boulder police said.

As police broke up the party, shots were fired in a parking lot outside, campus police said.

The incident occurred outside of Weber Hall, a campus apartment complex housing transfer students and upperclassmen, according to police.

Campus police ordered a shelter-in-place immediately after shots were fired, police alerted at 4:24 a.m.

That shelter-in-place order lasted for an hour, the CU Boulder police spokesperson said, adding the order is protocol in these types of situations.

Multiple suspects are in custody and there is no threat to the public, police said.

Both the Boulder Police Department and Boulder County Sheriff's responded to the shots fire call.

The shooting remains under investigation.
